The Burg to Bayshore Challenge celebrates the spirit of Tampa Bay running by connecting two iconic races — the Regenexx St Pete Run Fest Half Marathon in November (’26) and the Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon in February (’27). As the challenge has grown in popularity — nearly doubling participation this year — we’re excited to continue enhancing the experience with a commemorative medal, special race amenities, and exclusive access to the Burg to Bayshore hospitality tent at Gasparilla’s 2027 Q105 Post-Race Celebration, presented by Michelob Ultra.

To help support these elements, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the program, the Burg to Bayshore Challenge will now include a $10 challenge registration fee. Because both races are charitable events, we carefully evaluate how resources are used to support our missions and the communities we serve. This fee helps cover a portion of the increased costs associated with the program while allowing both races to continue delivering the high-quality experience runners have come to expect. 

Registration for the 2027 Burg to Bayshore Challenge will be available as an option when registering for the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic (Half Marathon, Ultra & Pure Gold Challenges), with proceeds shared between the two organizations to help cover the costs associated with delivering the challenge experience.

We look forward to celebrating all runners who take on the journey from the Burg to Bayshore.

🔗 How to Participate:

To qualify as a 2027 Burg2Bayshore Challenge Finisher, you must:

• Finish the 2026 Regenexx St. Pete Run Fest Half Marathon

• Add the Burg to Bayshore Challenge when registering for the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic (Half Marathon, Michelob Ultra Challenge, or Michelob Gold Challenge) during online or mail-in registration for the 2027 Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon

✅ Following the 2026 Regenexx St. Pete Half Marathon, a list of finishers will be provided to confirm eligibility.

⚠️ Important:
You must have crossed the finish line of the 2026 Regenexx St. Pete Half Marathon before participating in the 2027 Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon.

• 2027 Michelob Ultra Challenge, or

• 2027 Michelob Ultra Pure Gold Challenge?

If so — you’re eligible for the 2027 Burg2Bayshore (B2B) Marathon Challenge!

✅ To Qualify, You Must:

• Be registered for either the 2027 Michelob Ultra Challenge or 2027 Michelob Ultra Pure Gold Challenge

• Also register for and complete the 2026 Regenexx St. Pete Run Fest Half Marathon

• Added the $10 Option for Burg to Bayshore Challenge to your 2027 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend registration
