



2024 PGDC Online Will Open May 1st!

Beginning May 1, 2023, registration will be available online for the 2024 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic 15K & 5K, 2024 Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon & 8K, 2024 Michelob Ultra Challenge, 2024 Stella Artois Challenge, 2024 Bud Light Seltzer Challenge, and 2024 Michelob Ultra Pure Gold Challenge.
PLEASE NOTE that there are registration caps for each of the 2024 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend Events. If any of the individual 15K, 5K, Half Marathon, 8K, or Challenge Registration Caps are reached, registration WILL close for that event.
ATTENTION WALKERS! Though the 5K is the only PGDC Race Weekend event that offers a dedicated walk, the Kashi 5K Walk, Walkers are welcome in all PGDC Race Weekend Events. Because of road closure permits, a 16-minute per mile pace must be maintained. For event-specific Walker Information, please visit the 15K, 5K, Half Marathon & 8K Runner Info pages.

Online Registration Fees:
On or before February 19, 2024, a Registration Confirmation will be sent via email to all of those who registered for the 2024 events and, provided a valid email address. When received, please confirm that all information (event entered, name, address & age) is correct. Please note that Race Numbers will not be assigned until the first week in February 2024.
If an email address is not given, confirmation cannot be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: If at any time, you have unsubscribed from the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic E-Blast Database, you WILL NOT receive a Registration Confirmation. You MUST rejoin the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic E-Blast Database. To rejoin, Click Here.
Refunds and/or transfers of registration are not allowed in ANY of the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend Events.
Packet Pick Up
2024 PGDC 15K, 5K, Half Marathon, 8K, Michelob Ultra Challenge, Michelob Pure Gold Challenge, Stella Artois Challenge, and Bud Light Seltzer Race Packet, T-shirt, and Race Number Pick-Up will take place during the 2023 ABC Action News Health & Fitness Expo, presented by Tampa General Hospital being held at the Tampa Convention Center on Friday, February 23, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and on Saturday, February 24, beginning at 6:00 a.m.
** PLEASE NOTE: If you are not able to attend the Expo and pick-up your Race Number, a Race Number Pick-Up Authorization Form must be completed, signed, and presented by whoever WILL be picking it up for you. A downloadable version of the Authorization Form can be found below.
2024 Rules and Requirements
Online Registration Waiver must be digitally signed – the waiver can be found at the bottom of the first online registration page (if the participant is under 18 years old, parent or guardian must sign the release). Age Requirements:
• Half-Marathon: At least 12 years old (18 yrs & Under Require a Parental or Guardian Signature)
• 15K: No age restrictions
• 8K: No age restrictions
• 5K: No age restrictions
Race Numbers and ChronoTrack B-Tags are required for all races. Refunds and/or transfers of registration are not allowed in the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic 15K & 5K, Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon & 8K, Michelob Ultra Challenge, Bud Light Seltzer Challenge, Michelob Ultra Pure Gold, and/or Stella Artois Challenge. If you are unable to run the race you registered for due to medical reasons, you may downgrade to a shorter distance. There is no charge for downgrading, however, you will not receive a refund for the difference in the entry fee. If you require a race change, you MUST contact the race office in writing via email by Friday, January 12, 2024.
If the request and change are made prior to Friday, January 12, 2024, the change will be made at No Charge. From January 13 – February 18, 2024, there will be a $15 fee for making a change in registration. There will be NO changes made over Race Weekend. If you participate in a race you are NOT registered for, you will NOT be eligible for overall and age group awards. If you need to make a change in your registration, please submit a request to the GDCA office via email: registration@rungasparilla.com. Race Registration changes will not be made over the phone.
PLEASE NOTE: From January 13 – February 18, there will be a $15 fee for making a change in registration. NO changes will be made over Race Weekend.
