⚠️ Registration Caps & Closures

IMPORTANT: Each event has a registration cap.
Once an event sells out, registration will close for that event—no exceptions.

This applies to:

  • All individual races (15K, 5K, Half Marathon, 8K)

  • All Michelob Ultra Challenges

🚶‍♀️ ATTENTION WALKERS!

Walkers are welcome at all 2026 PGDC Race Weekend events!

However, please note the following:

  • ✅ The 5K and 8K are the only events that offer a dedicated walk.

  • ⏱ A 16-minute-per-mile pace must be maintained due to road closure permits.

There are registration caps for each of the 2026 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend Events.

If any of the following event caps are reached, registration will close immediately for that event:

  • 15K

  • 5K

  • Half Marathon

  • 8K

  • All Challenge Events (Michelob Ultra Challenge, Pure Gold, Infusions, and Zero)

Please Note: Registration for each event during the 2026 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend is limited. If the registration cap for any individual event—15K, 5K, Half Marathon, 8K, or Challenge—is reached, registration for that event will close.

  • Confirmation Emails will be sent on or before February 16, 2026, to all registered participants who provide a valid email address.

  • Your email confirmation will include:

    • Name

    • Address

    • Age

    • Event Entered

  • 📌 Race Numbers will be assigned in early February 2026.

🚫 Refund & Transfer Policy

  • Refunds and/or transfers of registration are NOT allowed under any circumstances for any of the 2026 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend Events.

📦 2026 PGDC – Race Packet, T-Shirt & Race Number Pick-Up

Race Packet Pick-Up for the 2026 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic will take place during the:

🗓️ Expo Dates & Times:

  • Friday, February 20, 2026 | 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Saturday, February 21, 2026 | Beginning at 6:00 a.m.

❗ Important Pick-Up Policy:

If you are unable to attend the Expo to pick up your Race Number in person:

  1. You MUST complete and sign a Race Number Pick-Up Authorization Form.
  2. The person picking up your Race Packet must present this form at the Expo.

2026 Rules and Requirements

Waiver & Age Requirements

  • Online Registration Waiver must be digitally signed during registration.

  • For participants under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver.

  • Age minimums:

    • Half Marathon: 12 years old minimum (participants 18 & under require parental/guardian signature)

    • 15K, 8K, 5K: No age restrictions

Race Essentials

  • Race Numbers and ChronoTrack B-Tags are required for all races.

Refunds & Transfers

  • No refunds or transfers for any events including:

    • Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic 15K & 5K

    • Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon & 8K

    • Michelob Ultra Challenge series (Pure Gold, Infusions, Zero)

Downgrading & Registration Changes

  • You may downgrade to a shorter distance for medical reasons with no charge.

  • No refunds for the difference in entry fees if downgrading.

  • All race change requests must be made in writing via email to:
    registration@rungasparilla.com

  • Deadline for free changes: January 9, 2026

  • Changes requested between January 10 and February 15, 2026 will incur a $15 fee.

  • No changes will be allowed over Race Weekend.

Important Notes

  • If you race in an event you are not registered for, you will not be eligible for awards.

  • Registration changes cannot be made by phone.
