Packet Pick-Up: Begins at 5:30 PM at the Sail Pavilion, Tampa Convention Center

⚠️ Each wave is limited to 250 human/dog teams — assigned in order of registration

Route: Tampa Riverwalk to Cotanchobee Park & back

Allow extra time for traffic, parking, and walking to the start area.

Dogs are NOT allowed inside the WFLA News Channel 8 Health & Fitness Expo, presented by TampaWell.

🐕 Dog Rules & Requirements
To ensure a fun and safe experience for all participants:
✅ Dogs Must Be:

At least 6 months old
-
Able to walk 0.5 miles
-
Comfortable on-leash (no retractable leashes allowed)
-
Non-aggressive and friendly with people & other dogs
-
Comfortable in large crowds
📋 Required Vaccinations
By registering, you agree that your dog’s vaccinations are current and documented by a licensed veterinarian. You (the owner) accept liability in the event of any incident.
Required Vaccines:
-
Rabies – annual or 3-year
-
DHLP – Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza (Combo vaccine, often includes Parvo)
-
Parvo – may be part of DHLP
-
Bordetella – every 6 to 12 months (Kennel Cough)
💡 Talk to your veterinarian about other vaccinations your dog may need based on age, health, or breed.
🛑 Event Policies

The Gasparilla Distance Classic Association, Inc. reserves the right to deny participation to any human or dog.

All dogs must be leashed (no retractable leashes) and licensed.
-
Please bring your own water for your dog — water will NOT be available on the course or at the finish.

Clean up after your dog — be a responsible pet owner!
